Allyson Felix
Allyson Nicole Felix was born on the 18th of November of 1985 located in Los Angeles. Her father Paul Felix is an ordained Minister in the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. And her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix realized early on that she was gifted for running when attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. Just 10 weeks after her first tryout she came 2nd in the 200-meter race at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix signed a contract for an official career at Adidas in 2003. She later enrolled in University of Southern California to study elementary education. Felix took home her first Olympic Medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place at Athens Greece. She broke the Junior World Record running 200 metres in 22.18 second. She was the youngest world champion in the 200 meters at the 2005 Helsinki World Championships and defended her title in 2007 beating long-time Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix placed consistently at the top of the podium across her diverse events during the Olympics held at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
